It looks very interesting, Greg, thanks for sharing.
However, I don't know if you have any way to tell Dhani or not, but George did not use it on "Words of Love", that was his Gretsch Tennessean. He did, however, use it on "You Can't Do That", "If I Fell", "Happy Just to Dance With You", "Can't Buy Me Love" and "I Need You", that are not mentioned.
Do you have any screenshots about Rocky?

Dhani knows best, and I'm not questioning him at all. It's like saying to Mike Bloomfield that Bob Dylan played no guitar on "Like a Rolling Stone".sloop_john_b wrote:Are you saying you know better then Dhani?

If they could ONLY talk , the guitars in that pic. From the 59 Hofner Club 50, to CM107 (behind his head) .
Just happy it is here. I see gear on stands that am not sure Ive ever heard on record all those years ago.
All eyes and ears are on Dhani as to what is coming up,including new music ...

It's amazing how common this "Rickenbacker mis-shapen slash hole syndrome" is at the moment.

I just read the article...its kind of interesting. It has some swears, so I'll stay on the safe side and not post it, it should be in google news though.

Thanks soooo much for the fantastic Rocky photos. Your photos reveal what I always suspected were the true colors.greg_feo wrote:
There is a small Rocky photo in a guitar magazine from the 1980s and that is the only one that represents the true bubble gum pinkish color that is very much on that guitar (under Be Bop A Lula, two circles on pickguard, bridge pickup...). Most Rocky replicas wrongly go with red instead of this pink. Your photos clearly show there isn't much red on the guitar, it is mostly that pink.
Your Rocky photos also made me rest a bit easier. When I painted my Rocky I went with that old photo from the guitar magazine as a guide. It really was the best source for Rocky coloring...until now. Yeah, my pink may be a little too bubble gum, but at least I know I am in the right field. (I still can't tell for certain if the color under the bridge is that pink or red. Your photo is making me lean towards red. That would be easy for me to fix.)
Thanks again for your wonderful photos. They are the new standard in George guitar photos -- thee source for any info one might need. I am sure they are helping lots of guitar nuts.

Just had a strange request ...someone looking for a (vintage) Trapeze tp, and Bridge cover> for a 12 String...a '63.
Are there many more out there ? Or are they still being cloned?

Not sure about a trapeze. A period-correct trapeze is pretty rare. I think I know who you're talking about, Greg.

Maybe someone wants to make one based off of your pictures? Just a thought.greg_feo wrote:Just had a strange request ...someone looking for a (vintage) Trapeze tp, and Bridge cover> for a 12 String...a '63.![]()
