+1

Exactly my thoughts already before reading this.

Thank You for posting. Hmmm, feels - and looks, now - like I play the right instruments for me.

Great, love the hands on approach, confirms I'm playing a guitar with soul, can't wait for the next gig :D . Saw Marty Wilson Piper not long ago at my local pub, had a long chat about Rickenbacker's, he recalled every time he came to the factory, ''John was always somewhere in the factory mixing paint or tweaking and not behind a desk''.

Great video.
And I learned from it the proper way to restring my 12 string. The guys at the Ric factory actually do masking tape all the strings to the R-tailpiece when putting on new strings!

Thanks, John.

Rickenbacker is especially interesting in that it's not a committee-run corporation like Gibson and Fender seem to be these days. RIC, Martin, Taylor and Paul Reed Smith seem to be similar companies, all having the vision of a single person guiding things along. Rickenbacker and Martin also have the added benefits of many years of history and the continuity of a single family in control.

I have lots of respect for what you've accomplished.

Funny you should mention those! I used to really like the Tag Hauer glasses but hated the price tag . . . my optician suggested Gunnar Optiks as an alternative and they're pretty indestructible as well as cheap.

I hate that YouTube "cover shot"; it looks like I'm having a Henry Juszkiewicz moment.

Too funny. I never noticed that until you pointed it out.

It is always nice (and important) to see the face behind the products we all love! Well done.
