It sure looks similar, although none of the photos I can find on Google have two knobs on the same side of the body in the position seen here. I have no idea what else it could be.Now, is that an Electro Spanish bakelite??? (2:25 on good view)

Spme of the hawaiian bakelites pre-war had two knobs on the same side. I once found an image of a spanish bakelite with the same configuration. It can also be they converted a one-knob spanish bakelite into a two knob version, of course.jdawe wrote:It sure looks similar, although none of the photos I can find on Google have two knobs on the same side of the body in the position seen here. There is an article in the February '12 issue of Vintage Guitar about Sol Ho'opi'i and shows his B-6 with both knobs on the treble side of the body.

Isn't Sol's an Hawaiian with the horseshoe all the way at the end, as opposed to a Spanish bakelite which has the horseshoe more in the middle of the body?

Ahh, right you are. I just looked in the Smith book, Spanish bakelites have the knobs on either side of the body, whereas Hawaiians (guitars, not people!Wildberry wrote:Isn't Sol's an Hawaiian with the horseshoe all the way at the end, as opposed to a Spanish bakelite which has the horseshoe more in the middle of the body?

I was watching "Later" at 6:00 AM until a couple of months ago and sadly, it is not on anymore. You're right, a great variety show of current entertainers.nukebass wrote:Right after I got HD service from Dish Network I could watch Later with Jools Holland on a channel called Rave. It was a music channel that played a great variety of music and styles. The channel was dropped from the lineup about a year later. I thought it was a really good show.
