Oh, and that blemish on the finish might be fixable. I guess it depends on how it looks currently.

Probably be able to wet sand it down smooth and do the ol' Scratch X (now Swirl X, IIRC) and Xymol treatment. But it depends on what it looks like at the moment.

Actually it kinda looks like some of the clear coat flaked off or something in that one little spot but it's hardly noticeable at all. It's like maybe the size of a pencil eraser right next to the nut. I don't think it's enough of a big deal for me to do anything about it.

I have some minor scuffing in the same spot. i think it happened when UPS was hurling the box around like enraged gorillas.

Maybe but I find it hard to imagine how the bass could get damaged in that spot from mishandling. It's such an odd spot.
