Here we go again!

I made three other posts on the RRF in the past two hours, none of which have triggered any significant reaction.

Yet, I find it astonishing that, within 15 minutes of posting some forthright comments about the purpose of RRF (which, incidentally, I have expressed previously in other topics, much to the annoyance of John Hall and others), a long-standing Senior RRF member with 4,600 posts is on my tail questioning my motives.

Let me ask you: What gives you the right to question my motives or views on this issue? I don't care a toss why you are a member of the RRF, so what gives you the right to challenge me? Secondly, I do not have to explain or justify my comments to you or anyone else on the Forum - this is called democratic 'freedom of speech' which, if you hadn't noticed, is why there are US and UK troops fighting (and dying) in Afghanistan at this very moment.

No wonder many Ric owners have abandoned the RRF.

Finally, the correct spelling is 'offence'!

Whoah there, turbo.

Don't get so easily "Offenced" ;)

I merely imply that if you--or anybody else--spent less time worrying about online guitar forums and spent more time playing and enjoying you guitars instead, you may end up a lot happier (and a better player!).

...and you wouldn't need to "sell your collection"

With respect, that is not what you said/implied. And, I am a very happy Ric owner/collector, even if not a good player!

And, the word this time should be 'offended'!

I can only guess that you misinterpreted my statement.

One would logically assume that, as a guitar player, your first priority would be your guitars (and playing them), right?

What I don't get, and think is weak, is the notion that anything having to do with an online forum would warrant you selling your belongings. What would that accomplish?

Again, I meant no personal attack or offense (check the US spelling....) other than judging your statement, but I am very curious to know how this whole concept works for you.

If we are on the subject of grammar and spelling I should note that you should never begin a sentence with a conjunction or preposition and you've accomplished this three times consecutively! :)

James, I believe Collin, and I must add myself, were taken aback that you declare yourself a collector but would sell off your collection if you couldn't express yourself here.

Disposing of his guitars as well as friendships is HIS loss.

We don't appreciate bomb-throwing trolls here either, James.

Our forum has rules, which every member has to play by. If you don't like it, get your wallet out and start your own forum on your own dime.

If you can't be a positive part of the forum, just go away.
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

"Uh, I like the double bounds. . . ."

Me either. I created an account at the official site, but haven't used it in years. No particular reason.
