It was to later emerge that none of The Searchers actually played on the liberty releases

TV. How did you get recruited to The Searchers?
JB. A friend’s father worked for Harold Davidson, The Searchers’ agent, and he recommended me on the 10th of March 1966.

Does anyone know anything about Harold Davidson and his unique contribution to The Searchers?
