My question is, how does that neck pickup sound different from the one on your 2002 360/12? (Do you have a 7.4K toaster in that one, or is my memory failing?) After reading your threads describing your new C63, I've concluded that a Fireglo C63 is the only way for me to go. Chris Clayton at POTR hasn't had one in ages. Can anyone direct me to someone else who might have a new one in stock?

Hi Robert!
I had a 7.4K toaster in my '02 360/12 but I swapped it out for a 12K to give me a wider tonal palette between it and my c63. The 3K or 5K [I haven't measured it yet] neck toaster in the c63 sounds different from what I recall about the 7.4K toaster. It sounds more 'jazzy'/full/rich sounding and perhaps reflects the acoustics of the guitar more than the 7.4K toaster. Perhaps this is attributed not to its lower impedance but its position just below the 21st fret on the c63. My '02 360/12's neck toaster is below the 24th fret. I've read in several threads that this is a harmonically significant difference. The c63's neck pickup also has very short poles that barely extend below the bottom of the pickup.
I think you will be
very happy with c63. It seems to be a hard to find guitar. A quick search of Gbase revealed a few places selling used and new 360/12c63s:

Hope that helps, and feel free to ask any more questions.
