My first one was a 1994 JG 360. I had that guitar until 1999, when I sold it during a cash shortage. In 2008, I got lucky, and re-discovered it at a local Music-Go-Round. I managed to scrounge up the cash, and re-bought it. Like an idiot,I traded it towards a Gretsch G6120 Brian Setzer Hot Rod in early 2009. I eventually regretted selling it, but didn't have the cash to get my second one until 2010, when via "pay as you play financing", I was able to get my hands on a 2009 MG 360 from zZounds. That was a great guitar, that I kept until a money crunch forced me to sell it in mid 2011. My third Ric was a 2006 360, that I bought from a local dealer in 2012. It was OK, but I didn't click with it, like I did with my previous 360, so I ended up using it as trading material for a vintage Gretsch, but with the intention of getting a replacement for it down the road. I did that several months ago, when I scored my fourth Ric - an NOS 2012 MG 360. It plays and sounds great, and unlike the other ones, it's going nowhere.

First was a FG 330/6. So you know the second one had to be a 12. And it was! 360/12 JG. This house has some serious jangle now.

Can't believe I found a picture of it, but my second Rick was a 70's white 4001 with black trim. I wish I had kept it. It had a slight bow in the neck, and I was too much a neophyte to realize that it could be adjusted correctly!

It was a 4001c64, after having a 4003 first.

My first was an April 1982 JG 620. My second was a June 1980 Fg 620/12.

Both long gone alas but replaced with similar vintage examples.

My second Rickenbacker was a '74 4001 in Azureglo. It has a fabulous slim neck and those great 7.5 kohm higains.

My second Ric is my 650 Atlantis because the Turquoise finish body and maple thru-neck looked distinctive and I wanted to try a wide neck 600-series for something different.

I'm at 1 ......

I think my second would need to be a 620/6 or a 660/6......maybe even the TP limited edition.

But some serious saving up needs to occur first!

Well, my first was (and is) a Jetglo 2007 360/12 that I bought neew in June 2008 after almost 25 years of lusting for one.
Unbelievably, I bought my second one less than a month later- a 1997 Fireglo 360/6, although it was a butchered one from ebay, so just a body/ neck. An ongoing project, I thought, I had rebuilt it within 6 months!
I now have a third- a 1988 Jetglo 610/6.

Beware- they are addictive!

My first ric was a 78 4001 MG that I got in 1994 in college when in a punk band (and for the relatively punk price of $400), the second was a beat up black 230 Hamburg I got in Osnabrück (relatively close to Hamburg - although they'd argue that point) when I was living in Germany in 1999 for 450 DM.

The 230 was sold to a luthier in Australia (it had fretboard issues); my wife has been using the 4001 for years (since we first started dating seriously), so it's very much hers now.

First one was a 360/12V64 ,bought brand new in 1989.

My second was a 1990 325V59 mapleglo,bought from my uncle for £600 in 1991.
Still have the 360 but sadly i traded the 325 a few years later.

My Second Rick is a Jetglo lefty '73 4001. Why? Because my first Rick is a lefty Desert Gold 4003. When I took it in to the Rick dealer here for a once-over and set-up (got it on the 'Bay), the head tech just stood there for a minute, looking at it with his mouth hung open. Then he turned to me and said, "Dude, you've probably got the only one of these in the world". Which was NOT what I wanted to hear; I bought it to play the snot out of. But, as of 5 minutes ago, it' seems to be the only lefty Anything in that color; so... My third Rick, by the way, is a nice, plentiful Fireglo 330. :)
