My first Rick was a `79 Jetglo 4001.
When I decided to become a guitar player, I ordered a 360 WB in Azure Glo Blue. Still have it.

There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

"Uh, I like the double bounds. . . ."

My second Rick was a 4003 from '81. I hated it and dumped it, same for another '81 4003, so I stay away from any 4003 made between '80 - about '85. I know some people love those early 4003s with the two piece pickguard, but from my personal experience, they are the only Rickenbackers I don't like. Thankfully JH made them right when he went back to RIC.

Not sure. It was either this one I bought from Ron O'Keefe: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... lebrity%3D

Or this CW/12: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... lebrity%3D

It was a great guitar, it just didn't click with me. I sold it to a person who plays Lennon in a Canadian Beatles tribute group. He posts on this forum occasionally.

I totally agree with this sentiment, Joey; my first RIC was an '82 4003, and we just never got along; the neck is like a baseball bat, and the truss adjustment is ridiculous.

Fortunately, a good friend of mine fell in love with the thing and purchased it from me a couple of years ago. I still get to see it & hear it all the time (and it sounds great) because he and I are in a band together, but I'm glad I don't have to wrap my mitts around it anymore.

My second RIC is from November 1990, and plays wonderfully:

A 360/12 FG. I felt the need to order it shortly after George Harrison died in 2001.

My second Rickenbacker was a long overdue replacement of my first which was unfortunately stolen about 20 years ago. A Fireglo 4003. If anyone here or anyone you know bought a Firelgo 4003 from a pawn shop in Seattle (I believe Capitol Loan) in 1994 message me

Second Rick is a 360-12 (2005) Fireglo I bought in NYC in January 2006. Brand new. Had to have it.

First Rick is a 381 (2003) 6-string Jetglo I bought here in Toronto in January 2005. Used. Beautiful guitar.

Third Rick is a 350 v63 (2007) Jetglo I bought yesterday here in Toronto. Used. Can't stop playing it. What a guitar!!!!

My first RIckenbacker was a 330-12 in fireglo. I was looking for the unique Rick 12-string sound. My second Rick was a 330 six-stringer, also in fireglo. In part it was an impulse purchase when I was in a local guitar shop, but I have always loved the music of the Jam and the Who, so I did not struggle very hard to resist the impulse. In fact, I went home and traded in my first electric (a '67 Gibson Melody Maker) toward the purchase. I have no regrets.
