I played my Ric 4003 through my latest back line addition last night - an Ashdown EVO III NEO 210 Combo. I was quite impressed with it, I could never get a really decent sound out of my Ric through my Line 6 LD400 (although it is a great amp for my other non-Ric basses).
The amp is quite punchy, plenty of volume and the 4003 really cut through the mix with it. Very light as well at 26kg.
The one drawback I found was the built-in Compressor, really sucks the volume so either this is how it works or I haven't got it set up right yet!
Have heard a few Ashdowns before I bought mine, all sound very good, but a bit on the expensive side IMHO. It's a shame that for how much these things cost Ashdown (and others) can't just throw in just a basic plastic cover for their amps.
I'm thinking now of getting the matching 1x15 cab to go with it (if funds allow), I think it would be a great little rig then.
