New member - 4001 bass
Hi everyone
I've just joined rickresource & wanted to say hello.
I'm based in Melbourne, Australia and I'm the proud owner of a '78 Azureglo 4001.
I've been playing bass off and on (mostly off) since the late '70s but this is my first Ric.
To say that I am loving it would be the understatement of the century.
I look forward to learning more about Rics from the obviously very knowledgeable (if possibly slightly biased?) community on this forum and hope I can also contribute in some way.
If anyone can help locate a '78 or thereabouts Ric hard case with a blue interior I'd love to hear from you.
With best regards
Sean

Welcome, Sean!
There was a recent (past few days) thread on '70s-'90s cases so look for that, for sure. There are a lot of Aussies here that can point you where you need to go (when you need to go

Welcome Sean!
If you need a new case, I'd suggest getting a recent moulded one. The old ones have quite a bit of "wriggle" room and mine are gracefully disintegrating..... pretty much like me.
