If it is on the bay it wouldn't have come with a factory warranty, anyway.
Re: 4003 Blackbird?
That's not true. If it's brand new, and from a RIC dealer, then it has a warranty. I've heard that JH says that dealers aren't supposed to sell on Ebay for some reason, but doing so does not void your warranty.jps wrote:If it is on the bay it wouldn't have come with a factory warranty, anyway.
Re: 4003 Blackbird?
Okay, I thought it had to be a B&M store type of authorized dealer that also do business on the 'bay. Were these two ebay sellers such, I don't know as I can't seem to find the auctions?

Completed auctions, looks like three Noirs sold:jps wrote:Okay, I thought it had to be a B&M store type of authorized dealer that also do business on the 'bay. Were these two ebay sellers such, I don't know as I can't seem to find the auctions?

My bass delivers to my family's home in NJ today. I won't be able to get there until November!

Talk about delayed gratification.....
Seeing those two basses is giving me ideas....which is never good...

Looks like the templates for the body wings were a little worn back in '86

Re: 4003 Blackbird?
I personally have always preferred that look; I'm not super keen on the new, thinner horns.cheyenne wrote:Looks like the templates for the body wings were a little worn back in '86
Re: 4003 Blackbird?
i was high on my dealer's list but decided to pass (at $2349). i like it, but i don't love it - the matte and the inlays don't quite work for me... (although i'd love to hear how it sounds with the ebony fingerboard.)

Re: 4003 Blackbird?
I can never make up my mind if I like the thicker or slimmer horns. The slimmer horns might help take off a little body weight for when playing. Thought I doubt that many if any of these will see real gigging time.DriftSpace wrote:I personally have always preferred that look; I'm not super keen on the new, thinner horns.cheyenne wrote:Looks like the templates for the body wings were a little worn back in '86
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: 4003 Blackbird?
I intend to make mine a player, Joey. But I hear you!
Re: 4003 Blackbird?
I'd gig it, for sure.
