Does that mean you got her support to buy one?
Actually yes! I'm lucky she's such a Ric fan. I think we both like the W...
Did anyone who checked these out at NAMM see if they have lightweight tuners or the normal Schaller tuners? Also, does anyone know if the pickups are RWRP/humbucking?

Same tuners as a 4003. The pickups are single coil.
By the way, the bass player for Mana, the most successful rock band ever in Latin America, played it today. He LOVED it!
The pick guard shape was lasered in house with the new neck pickup in mind, but that was using the pre-2015 double hump geometry for some reason. Don't worry, in production these will have the same non-hump pick guards as the 4 stringers. The nuts for these were also lasered out of black acrylic. They will instead be machined by our supplier like our other ones en masse.
These pickups are 3D printed. Once they are in mass production they will either be machined or cast like our other bobbins.
Sounds really terrific. The bridge pickup has a new tonal quality that I enjoy -- hint of Jazz Bass, but not full blown honk. Wish I heard more B string action on the video, though!
I'm a big fan of the current "S" aesthetic as opposed to triangles/binding. (But that's how I feel regardless.) The pickups look awesome as is.
I'm talking to my favorite dealer about what the next steps are.
