I was wondering if it would be necessary, or at least worthwhile, to get a 4005V in addition to my 4005XC. Sounds as though, as good as the V is, it's not enough better justify the expense, and I can save my money.

I think if you like the old 4005's, you'll love the new ones. But if such an oddly large beast is foreign to you, you will probably significantly prefer the XC.

I've never seen an old 4005 in person, so I have no opinion on it, other than its odd (to me) looks.
