Hello

Post by bmi_guy »

Hi All,
A new member is lurking about... I have an old Model 430 I bought new in 1975 - not a fancy guitar at all, but it's become like a wart and I can't get rid of it!! This is probably the cheapest model RIC ever made, but I love it. Looking forward to a new one some time in the future. I've had my share of "others", but nothing plays or sounds like a RIC. This old 430 has a sound that cannot be replicated by any other - If so, I'd have heard it by now!! I'm not really all that familiar with all the models so am looking to learn from you all.

Wow - what a question!!
I really like the 360 and the 620 in Maple Glo...
I think RICs are like Stihl chain saws - it doesn't matter which one you get, as ling as it says Rickenbacker on it!!

Later...

Welcome, Michael!

First time I've seen "Stihl chain saw" and "Rickenbacker" mentioned in the same sentence....

Gives me the willies!

Ah, yes, Ric is "Stihl" the One, then, heh? Amen. And welcome to the crew Michael.

There's alot of older threads on both the 620 and the 360, which one people prefer and such.
There's a Search option on the right-most top-most corner of this page.

Paul, I saw a Rick being chain-sawed in half by a strange scandinavian rock group somewhere on the web last year. It was a press clipping on a site I can't recall. I may have forgotten the site but I can't forget the sight of a Ric 330 being chain-sawed into oblivion.

No, but I can see that I'll get flak when I actually get started on my "622/12" project and post pictures of the two 620s undergoing the initial cuts ... That post will be rated X for graphic violence ...
