True on the way a fingergrip may or may not exactly fit a Rick that was factory drilled for one.I don't know how far back Rick actually stopped making the grips, but assuming they were all made in the day when stuff was done by hand and eye on a std. drill press, there is the chance that the screw spacing from one to the next grip is not exactly "on the money" perfect spaced measurements.Say the spacing is supposed to be 1-1/8" between screws, on dead center.If you get a different grip that is off by 1/32" or 1/16",well, its Not going to fit without at least a little messing around.If you're aftermarket fitting one on a bass that never had one to begin with, these rules don't apply. If Rick decides to ever put these grips out again, you can bet the material will be done on CNC, and All the pieces Will get made to an exacting tolerance.
