Is that 4001, 4th from the left, missing it's pickup surround?
It's missing more than just the surround; the pickup is hanging down out of the cavity!
For clarification, here's a close-up of that 1973 4001 FG:

A previous owner had removed the original bridge pickup, filled the rout, and added a different pickup mounted at an angle.
I had borrowed a horseshoe surround from Ilan and found that it would have covered the modified area, so I had planned on restoring it with a RI Horseshoe ... but then it was one of the ones that got stolen.

OK, so there was one other bass built alongside of Geddy's new beastie, another one and only.
Here are the details of my new 4003 SPC MID:
- Vintage Toaster, 1/2" away from neck
- Horseshoe bridge pickup
- 2 Volume knobs / mono
- Full-width mica fret inlays
- New extra sparkly Midnight Blue
- Sparkly Gold TRC & pickguard
- Oven knobs
- Schaller bridge

Sweet!
For those who may not be aware of it, I sold the RM 3261 in my Fireglos picture to Getty!
