Cool! I have two of those!
Re: New price list effective 12/13/2007
Did last year's price list describe the 4003 the same way? Or is that the way RIC describes the triangle inlay as opposed to a dot inlay?
Re: New price list effective 12/13/2007
Wow that's a major hike. I guess none of my friends will ever have one now.

- The models 650S and 650D have been cut due to elimination of the oil finish process and in anticipation of updated models.

John what does that actually mean in terms of production? Cut due to elimination of the oil finish process

Sounds like they've decided not to do any more oil-finished guitars in the factory. It's probably too time-consuming, or perhaps the oil finish has become too expensive and they can't keep the prices of the guitars reasonable anymore.
Re: New price list effective 12/13/2007
Ben Hall said just this week that 5A+ quilted maple had really gone up in cost. With as much as they must use on the 381v69 reissue, I would guess that at least part of that $1000 price increase could be attributable to the continued rise in wood prices.....
Good thing THIS one is already bought and paid for
