Re: New McGuinn interview
Any of you who follow the "Folk Den" have probably also noticed the absence of the Ric 12's in the mix of guitars lately. Maybe he's getting a little tired of changing strings and batteries all of the time? The acoustic 6 string, banjo and mandolin are good, but are getting a little tireso...

Re: New 9 String Acoustic Guitar
Todd, that's the best one of all, three snips and voila! But - where to snip?

I saw McGuinn/Clark live in '78 or '79 but no electric guitars were used during that show. There's a live recording out there of a solo performance around that time and he ...

Re: Feel A Whole Lot Better
"Eight Days a Week" was recorded in October, 1964 (released as a single in the US in February '65). There might be some similarities between the two guitar parts. Keep in mind however, that McGuinn did a similar type of lick on "Mr. Spaceman" and "5D". The solo lead on ...

Re: Milestones
Now that I think, "All Blues" by Miles ("Kind of Blue") kinda gives birth to "Gathering of Tribes" on "The Notorious Byrd Bros.": 'strange thing gathering of tribes' . Check it out...
