Re: Your favorite effects/pedals?

I'd have to say that with a Rickenbacker 12 string, it's the Janglebox.
Other than that, what's on my pedalboard is: Fender PT100 tuner>Vox V848 wah>Pro Co Rat (ver. 2)>BYOC tremolo>BYOC phaser>DOD stereo chorus>Ibanez ADL analog delay. That's what I use when I want to mess with pedals. Most of the ...

Re: Eight Miles High - backing tracks

Hey, sorry for the delay. I forgot about the file sharing site and the account lapsed.
Here is the link to the file:
EMH

Be warned, it's around 70mb, so be patient.

Also, if anyone's interested, I made a backing track for Turn! Turn! Turn! It's my first attempt at making a backing track using a ...

I've always liked The Who. Peter T. is a great songwriter, and a pretty good riffmeister too. Those vids are truly awful! While Live At Leeds is a great live album, I'd nominate Quadrophenia as an example of The Who's best work. Keith Moon never sounded better.
It's a masterpiece, IMHO.

Paul, this model Gretsch ('64 Tennessean) originally had painted on f-holes!
At some point in its sad past some axe murderer decided to transform them into real f-holes. Perhaps some binding could be added to clean it up? I'll have to look into it.

"No Matter What", the Badfinger tune recently covered by Def Leppard. I don't necessarily think it's better than the original, maybe equally good. It's got a bit more energy than the Badfinger version, I like it.

Even though this thread has moved to a side track for a bit, I'm glad I read through to this point. I have some problems with the narrow string spacing on my 370/12 as well.
I'm happy to learn that the 330/12 nut replacement could be a solution. I looked on the website and found this nut: "Sku ...

Since Spinal Tap has been mentioned here, I'll add my two cents.
"There's a fine line between clever and stupid..." (Nigel Tufnel)
My vote is:
Rutles=Clever
I haven't seen, and was unaware of another Rutles film. But I can't believe it would be comparable to the first one. An idea like The ...

After my (Christmas present) JB finally arrived in January, I must say that it's lived up to my expectations. It sounds great not only with a Rick 370, but I've plugged in a Strat, Tele and Jaguar with good results. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm wondering how a Variax using the 12-string ...

I'm talking about formally recorded & released songs. For example, I think Lennon/McCartney wrote some tunes that they felt didn't suit the Beatles, but they gave them to the Rolling Stones, who recorded them. Also, I'm wondering if any of the solo members write songs for others, which they didn't ...

Lennon/McCartney & Co. songs recorded by others?

And NOT recorded by the Beatles or solo artist?
A friend of mine is doing some research into the subject and I figured the Beatles Forum think tank would be a good place to start.
Thanks!
