Re: Cleaning and polishing: step-by-step pictorial

If those three initials are MDA vrs MDN, it might indicate that the bass was worked on by Mark Arnquist. Mark worked at Rickenbacker around that time. He used to frequent this board and some others.

Re: how many 660/12's?

Simon, Willcutt Guitars has twenty new Ric guitars in stock. There are three 660/12s; two Jetglows and one Midnight Blue. Willcutt's has great service and a great staff, but they are not quite as accomodating as some other dealers on Ric pricing. Their selling prices are based on current retail pric...

Re: Ron Nasty

I'm not sure, but I think The Compleat Beatles documentary was narrated by Malcolm McDowell.

My understanding is that 660's always came stock with the SKB case. However many dealers ordered 660's with the vintage case upgrade. We stopped seeing 660's come with vintage cases when the case upgrade option was removed from the pricelist.

Ringo sorta did this in the early 80's during the opening skit of the Saturday Night Live show he hosted. They were auctioning off old memorabilia, and they rolled Ringo out strapped to a dolly wearing a suedo collar-less suit.

This guitar is very nice and would be a tough decision for me. I think the wood on that particular guitar is stellar. The maple is clear and both the front and back have an excellent grain pattern. I would be happy with the current shade of fireglo. I prefer a darker fireglo (and did like some of th...

This is my first long post. Please forgive my rambling... As a guitar/Rickenbacker/Beatles fan, I have been scanning the web over the last 18 months or so gathering pictures of 360/12C63 guitars that have shown up at various dealers, and from forum posts of owners that share pictures of their new gu...

If I remember correctly, each model instance on the recently shipped page can mean 1 guitar or multiple guitars.

Lennon's second 325 that was delivered to him in Miami is still in the hands of the Lennon estate, however most agree that Ringo has the fireglow Rose Morris 1996 that John got when he broke the headstock on that second 325. There are differing opinions about the Gent that was recently revealed to b...

I read an interview with Paul where he said that he was actually in the walrus costume during the MMT segment of the When We Was Fab video. If you look closely at the MMT segment, someone walks in front of George, Ringo and the walrus (Paul). This person is carrying a copy of the Imagine album showi...

I used Testors gloss white model paint to touch up a spot on one of my TRC and it matched perfectly.

Back in the '70s, I had a friend in high school that bought a 4001 bass copy made by Aspen. It came in a hardshell case exactly like the one in the picture.

George's fist Rickenbacker 12-string is still in his personal guitar collection and owned by his family. Most recently, it was shown in the Concert for George. The guitar was in a stand lit by a single spotlight throughout the concert.

Thanks Ben, we appreciate your contribution to the forum! I believe you mentioned in another thread that a new formula finish was put into use at the beginning of July. Will this latest batch of C63 12-stringers have the latest formula finish?
