"The rods look like one is tighter than the other. The neck was nice and straight so I'm assuming this is ok."

I don't want to hijack the thread, but I'm interested in the answer to this as well since my (lack of) luthiery skills has yielded the same result on my 4003.

I didn't want to stick my nose in here since I don't really have anything helpful to say, but I kind of like the looks of the blue binding. Under the circumstances, though, I'd be dissatisfied too if it were my bass. But if the bleeding would have been more consistent, I would have actually ...

I'm impressed with all the angles covered among all the pictures. And the fact I could use a bank wire transfer if I chose to use a bank wire transfer.

What a ding dong! Can you see anything wrong with this other auction of "his"?

"V" is definitely one of my top 5 favorites of all time. The other Neal Morse-era albums ain't no slouches either.

My biggest beef with the S1 switch is that the knobs themselves are different. This looks like a good idea to me though. I hope the bass I have on order comes equipped with it.

I've loved that bass since the first time I saw it, Jeff. It has one of the most pronounced grain patterns I've ever seen. Everything else you've done with it looks super cool too. I'd have to say yours is in a class by itself, while the grain on mine more resembles the picture linked in the first ...

Ever since I got my MG 4003 about a year ago I've been studying the pics of every other one I see, which has verified how lucky I was to get such a nice consistent grain pattern in the maple. Out of the hundreds of pictures I've looked at, there have been about two or three that could compete with ...

I've been sweating the green Blue Boy thing ever since I found out RIC changed their varnish to one that is yellow right out of the can. I wonder if that's the reason.

I have a 4003 BB on order and I wasn't looking forward to it turning green in a few years, much less arriving that way.

I look ...

Yeah, me either, Lindsay. I'm sure if I had acquired that bass I'd still sound nothing like he did.

Cool pic! The making of V (one of my all time top 10 favorite albums).

Lindsay,
Was that Dave Meros' bass?

(if so) I remember when that thing was on eBay. I wanted it bad, but had no money at the time.

I like McCartney, Squire, Lee, etc; but that's the one recorded Rickenbacker that's made the biggest impact on me. Congratulations, BTW.

I agree with the above posts. I too am left-handed, but play righty. I feel very fortunate not having had to go through what left-handed players do.

Last time I sold a bass on eBay, the guy who won it lived less than an hour away. I was thrilled that he wanted to come pick it up. That saved me a lot of hassle.

I wonder why your guy has problems.

By the way, with PayPal, you're only giving your account number to the company (PayPal). It's ...
