This logic is small comfort for some and I respect that. I, however, agree! My 4003MG has taken a lot longer than I expected but that also means I can (almost nearly) count on walnut wings and a thin profile. I'm very excited for this reason.

It is the first RIC bass I ordered new after an awful debacle on eBay--a 4003MG from 2003 that came to me in the worst shape I have ever seen. Got a refund and said "I'M BUYING NEW!!"

My other two RIC basses--4003 AFG and 4003FL AFG--were bought close to their delivery date to PotR. They are both great, but I may sell the 4003 AFG just because MG is what I have wanted much more for much longer--plus the new features. We'll see.

Sorry for my tangent but I thought I'd flesh out another example of what Joey is saying.

Hey, yeah! Mine could be "the last Blueburst ever made!" :D

Assuming it actually does get made. And assuming I'm still alive when it is. :?

I can't really look at it that way because I wouldn't have bought it at the current price. Imagine trying to convince the uninformed that we have a 2009 2005 Color of the Year!

Well, we're certainly not going to get anything until RIC returns from their holiday break on January 5th.

Yikes, Paul. The Trump Tower in Chicago went up in less time. :)

Hmmm...would anybody waiting for Blueburst Cii like to buy mine? It's in 100% mint condition. Then I'll just take yours when it's ready!

Hmmmm, sounds like a song!

Moody Blues 22,000 Days lyrics

Even tho' I know it's only
Me and my dreams
That drive me so let me go please
Let me go onto tomorrow
One day at a time
Now I know the only foe is time

22,000 days, 22,000 days it's not alot,
It's all you got 22,000 days
22,000 nights, 22,000 nights, it's all you know
So start the show and this time
Feel the flow and get it right

Now the time when I first saw you is over and gone
Then I knew my life with you would go on
Knowing you so much longer
I've change in mind change for you
You have changed to mine

22,000 days, 22,000 days it's not alot,
It's all you got 22,000 days
22,000 nights, 22,000 nights, it's all you know
So start the show and this time
Feel the flow and get it right

Everybody knows, it always shows
Wasting time's an aggravation
Got no time for confrontation
You want to take a lot
By love by law or stealth

Time's the only real wealth you have got
Even tho' I know it's only me and my dreams
That drive me so let me go please
Let me go onto tomorrow
One day at a time
Now I know the only foe is time

22,000 days, 22,000 days it's not alot,
It's all you got 22,000 days
22,000 nights, 22,000 nights, it's all you know
So start the show 22,000 days
22,000 days, 22,000 days it's not alot,
It's all you got 22,000 days
22,000 nights, 22,000 nights, it's all you know
So start the show 22,000 ways

Tool, which formerly included 4001CS player Paul d'Amour (and which currently includes Wal player Justin Chancellor), have a song called "10,000 Days" on an album of the same name. That song is about something much more poignant; the time spent by the singer's mother in paralysis before she finally died and "got her wings". It's a bit of a righteous indignation at God type thing and probably the toughest song I've seen them do live. The singer's mother is the subject of multiple songs written by him, including A Perfect Circle's "Judith".

Just some OT info this thread reminded me of. I guess there are worse ways to spend long spans of time huh?

Well put Joshua!

Waiting stinks but I just consider myself lucky enough to have a RIC on order to wait for. IF I was to order it today in this financial climate, and at the current price, I don't think I'd be able to have done it.

But I am waiting for that phone call or Email that says "your 4004Cii has just shipped'.
