This logic is small comfort for some and I respect that. I, however, agree! My 4003MG has taken a lot longer than I expected but that also means I can (almost nearly) count on walnut wings and a thin profile. I'm very excited for this reason.rickenbrother wrote:Considering all that I've heard about how much nicer the figure the the wood that has been used by RIC as of late, if I had a 4004 on order I'd be glad it wasn't made sooner.
It is the first RIC bass I ordered new after an awful debacle on eBay--a 4003MG from 2003 that came to me in the worst shape I have ever seen. Got a refund and said "I'M BUYING NEW!!"
My other two RIC basses--4003 AFG and 4003FL AFG--were bought close to their delivery date to PotR. They are both great, but I may sell the 4003 AFG just because MG is what I have wanted much more for much longer--plus the new features. We'll see.
Sorry for my tangent but I thought I'd flesh out another example of what Joey is saying.
