Geddy's New Rickenbacker

OK, so there was one other bass built alongside of Geddy's new beastie, another one and only.

Here are the details of my new 4003 SPC MID:
- Vintage Toaster, 1/2" away from neck
- Horseshoe bridge pickup
- 2 Volume knobs / mono
- Full-width mica fret inlays
- New extra sparkly Midnight Blue
- Sparkly Gold TRC & pickguard
- Oven knobs
- Schaller bridge

So, just to clarify, was this bass a custom order or just built as a Ric boutique one-off alongside Geddy’s bass?

I'm not a big fan of blue guitars or basses, but I absolutely LOVE that vintagy gold pickguard that harkens back to a simpler time in the late '50s early 60s when Roger Rossmiesl was still working for Rickenbacker. Everything else I see on it is very much to my liking!

Geddy played his new Rick last night. Looked great on stage, sounded like Geddy, but the shoes were off.

He used it on By-tor.

That makes sense to me, given how he plays with his fingers...
I've been working on his catalog of work for quite some time, and lately I am really struggling with it after playing with a pick for so long...

I didn't know it was a real '61. Assumed it was a new custom bass.
