John Hall mentioned (someplace) that new instruments would use new identification technolgy. Although I don't remember if he was explicit about what, I had the impression he might have been embedding an RFI chip someplace in the neck or body.

hmmm, it might be worth the BIN price (to somebody) if it had been signed by all four of 'em, but that's pretty steep for just one of 'em...

Is this a new book? I read Einerson's Springfield book and enjoyed it. I have also read the huge Byrd tome by that fellow in the UK. I never knew that Gene also wrote KANSAS CITY SOUTHERN until after he had passed.

The 12 saddle bride is standard equipment on the 660/12 models (and it was on the 660/12TP).

My experience has been that swapping out the six saddle for a twelve saddle on both of mine was goodness. It produced more noticeable results on my 360/12v64 than on my 370/12.

GuitarCrazy no longer has a store front as far as I know. I was in Pioneer last week (I mainly shop for mandolins there) I think he had one old Gibson, a ton of new Taylors and Martins and a few Collings. Pioneer is mostly acoustic.

I had read that story when it was published (I don't generally read that magazine, but I'll pick them up when they look like they have stuff in them that interest me and McGuinn and anything Byrds still does - if it is new material).

My comment about Martin building them was more along the lines ...

I don't know what the deal is, but I'd love to play one...

Wildwood also had a 381/12v69 in MB that I was drooling over. The 381/12 would have complemented my 370/12 and my 360/12v64 but how many RIC 12's does a guy need?

When you string up, look for burrs like Larry suggests.

I'm not sure if it was the LP or not. Rob Taylor has a set of instructional videos/DVD's and he absolutely nails the tone on this one with a Casino.
