Re: Rickenbacker 360c63 SPC 6 String!
What do you want to know? oh I guess I just wanted to vicariously enjoy hearing someone talk about how much they loved this incredibly scarce guitar I priced a 12 string version and it's about $2,689 ... these 6 stringers are $3,089 I don't have the $ for either. but at least I know that the 12 str...

Re: Rickenbacker 360c63 SPC 6 String!
Who has one of these !! ?? I see that GC in Concord, CA still has one in stock. Given that they made < 50 ? > of these .. I'd figure they'd all be snapped up! GC also shows one in Portland, Maine. I got a quote from them: and they are asking $3,089 so.. does that mean that 48 of them have found home...

How do Hi-Gains.. compare to P90s
I have a RIC 620.. .. and have never played a guitar with P90's
since my reading says -- P90's are a meaty sounding single coil..
I'm wondering how the Hi-Gain compares to a P90 ??

Re: Toaster Pickup option at time of purchase!
Interesting.. cruising' Wildwood guitar site and came across this listing which advertises the " upgrade to Toaster " option.. and when looking through their other RIC listings.. this is the ONLY SKU - this particular 330/6 Fireglo - that offers the option.. http://www.wildwoodguitars.com/...

Re: Toaster Pickup option at time of purchase!
Since there were questions.. I emailed Chris at POTR His reply: Yes, the original Hi Gains are included, since they were part of the purchase price of the guitar. If they were to be an issue with the replacement toaster pickup, we would handle that, not Rickenbacker. Seems like a win-win idea all ar...

Toaster Pickup option at time of purchase!
I haven't been surfing the forum much of late..( so maybe this has been discussed ) .. but I do try to check out Pick of the Ricks on a regular basis. I know RIC has the backlog issue.. so model selection remains static on an evolutionary scale.. but I've always wondered: how hard would it be to jus...

Re: My 2010 330-12 JG looks terrible
.. so as my 330/12 JG has a serial # of 10 20 ( and looks fine ) it is the 20th week.. and has a UV cured finish.. which is. a harder finish ? than previous finishes I've done nothing but occasional / light dust cleaning with a cotton baby diaper - no cleaning solutions. I do have some Scratch Docto...

Re: Dark edge to Fire-glo
My 2008 620 FG.( vertical orientation.. in natural sunlight ) Note both horns are completely dark.. and edges darker than: an example of a 2010 I pulled off the web.. where the lighter color can be seen up into the horns.. and edges are not as dark. Seems to me that around that 2008 time frame.. FG ...

Re: Dark edge to Fire-glo
Clifton's mando page link shows exactly what I have on my 2008 620/6 FG. A dark perimeter.
I"m surprised to see this on a new FG.. as most recent guitar pics I've looked at .. and my friends example of a 2010 .. are lighter perimeter FG's..

Re: Dark edge to Fire-glo
HI Clifton, I agree with you re: a period of time it seems the fire-glo had variance.. a DARKER outer edge. It could have been in the 2008-2009 time frame. I have a 2008 620/6 FG (will post a picture later ) that has this harder darker perimeter.. so I guess the "3 tone" .. compared to mor...

Re: Would you sell a favorite guitar that you don't play?
I busted out the 330 on a couple songs during my nightly practice. It's just not the same -- everything's there, but the old Rick, though it sounds great, doesn't do it anymore. Switched back to a Strat, and the magic was back. Truth be known.. Really seems like you answered your own question.. The...
