Hey. A '77 MIJ Ibanez bass, whatever else it might look like (and however horrible, improper, illegal -- though I feel the need to remind everyone that the Ibanez in particular was not "illegal" until it crossed the Pacific -- or "etcetera" that may be) is probably a darn good IN...

I'll be happy to see it. Macca being on the show seems to be the next evolution (upward) of the program. In alot of ways it's become more than a "talent" competition, but instead a showcase for the music that has driven the "pop" culture. What music other than that of Lennon &...

"Gibson confirms that the current J160Es have a true P90"...

Hey guys, I have a J-160E Standard (current production 2005 model), and I really love the guitar. The current version differs from John's & George's guitars in several ways. The P100 vs P90 difference has been mentioned (current model has the stacked humbucker P100). Most significantly the curre...

Whereabouts unknown, I think.

The same is true for the Gretsch 6120 that he's seen playing during the Paperback Writer sessions (although some folks feel that the Gretsch found its way into George Harrison's collection of guitars).

I used to be active at Beatgear, but I am no longer. I have to say, though, that what soured me on Beatgear is just a slightly more annoying example of I've seen with quite a few online "communities": a few "insiders" who have latitude to say whatever they want (accompanied by do...

Hey guys. The Beatgear Cavern forum discussions of this typically assume that the voice is Paul. Another comment typically made about it is that the count-in was a later addition -- Paul supposedly counted in at the beginning of his bass part, which was not part of the original guitar/vocal track. F...

http://www.guitar-parts.com/content/estore_details.asp?category=20&product=840 It doesn't say so anywhere on the page, but the linked bridge above is the "rocking" version that's designed for Bigsby equipped guitars. That may be all that's produced now, but there are non-rocking (stif...
